The materials in this collection were placed in the cornerstone of the Demarest Memorial Library in 1894. They were recovered in 1961 and donated to the archives.

Scope and Contents This collection contains the memorabilia of Frank Noyes Merrill, Jr., Hobart College class of 1930. Abstract This collections contains the papers of George Maxwell Blackstock Hawley (1870-1941). Hawley entered Hobart College with the class of 1892, but did not graduate with that class. He received his L.L.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1895 and returned to Geneva, NY, where he practiced law. The collection contains notes, correspondence, articles, and other writings by Hawley and others, as well as a large collection of newspaper clippings. Scope and Contents

This is a small collection provided by the family of George Robert Brush comprised of materials from 1885 to 1919. Items include high school report cards, a scrapbook including events and newspaper clippings, programs from events from his time at Hobart College such as class banquets, and religious events, such as the missionary conference for Rev. and Mrs. George Robert Brush.

Scope and Contents This collection includes the papers of David Bates Douglass, Malcolm Douglass, Sarah Hale Douglass, the Josiah Little family, the Heywood family, the Hale family, and Benjamin Hale. Correspondence comprises the major portion of the collection. There are also journals, scrapbooks, sketchbooks and one music book.
