Scope and Contents
A collection of papers from 1910-1975 belonging to or regarding Rosalind A. Daniels WS '18, in one box. Contains 42 items in three folders, including event programs, miscellaneous papers, and photographs. Also included in the collection are three textbooks and three handwritten composition notebooks, all belonging to Daniels. There are 48 items in total.

Biographical Note
Rosalind A. Daniels was a member of the William Smith Class of 1918. She was born on May 31, 1897 at 8484 Morganville Rd, Strafford, NY where she remained a lifelong resident. She graduated from Batavia High School in Batavia, NY, and came to William Smith College in 1914. She graduated in 1918 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin and Mathematics. She was a member of the Glee Club, big sister committee, and the Christian Association, served as class treasurer her senior year, and played field hockey. Her sister Charlotte Daniels Miller was also a member of the class of 1918.
After William Smith, Rosalind was active for many years in the Genesee County Historical Society. She was also a member of the Round Robin Bird Club, History Club of Batavia, La Ray Historical Society, and Genealogy Group, as well as President of the WomenΓÇÖs Council of Church of Eastern Genesee County. Rosalind was a member and former treasurer of the Morganville United Church of Christ and WCTU. She died July 12, 1990 after a brief illness.

Provenance
The provenance of this collection is unclear, because there are no known records documenting its donation to the Archives and Special Collections. However, it is believed that the papers were donated either by Rosalind Daniels herself or by her family.
