Scope and Contents
A collection of papers belonging to or regarding Marianna MacKay Wilkins, WS '28. Includes 83 items in 14 folders, organized into the following series: programs, cards, bridge tally cards, dance cards and programs, correspondence, articles, photographs, and various memorabilia. Also included is a copy of a 1987 letter from Marianna, which accompanied memorabilia she sent to the Colleges. Items in this collection date from 1924 to 1987.
- Wilkins, Marianna MacKay (Person)
Marianna MacKay Wilkins was a member of the William Smith College class of 1928, however she did not graduate as she had to leave during her junior year due to illness. Her brother, Newton McKay (note different spelling of last name - Marianna insisted on "putting the 'a' back in MacKay, where it belongs.") was a member of the Hobart Class of 1927.

This collection was donated by Marianna MacKay Wilkins in 1987 after she learned that the Colleges were interested in memorabilia from former students. A letter to Asta Farrand, Director of Alumnae Relations, is located in Folder 14. This letter gives some information about Wilkins' gift.
