Scope and Contents
This is a small collection of undated photographs of campus scenes donated by Charles V. Adair and his wife Constance Dean Adair. The photographs are probably from 1944 when Charles Adair was editor of the Echo of the Seneca yearbook.
Among the sports photographs are team and action photos of both football and lacrosse. There are also photographs from a theater performance, fraterity groups, and general student life photographs.
Also in the collection are photographs of campus. Coxe Hall and the Hobart quad are featured in some photographs while other are of the chapel and religious life at the Colleges.

Biographical Note
Charles V. Adair graduated from Hobart College in 1944 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to become a physician. Constance Dean Adair graduated from William Smith College in 1945. Her mother, Gladys Moyer Dean, was a member of the first class at William Smith College. Constance Dean Adair donated a collection of her mother's college papers and memorabilia to the Archives and Special Collections in 1998.
