Accreditation and Middle States Commission Records, 1953-2014
A collection of materials created to support several of the colleges' Self-Studies prepared for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. It includes committee reports, surveys of faculty and students, departmental reports as well as miscellaneous items.

This collection contains informational student files created by the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Alumni and Alumnae Relations office. The files in this collection cover Geneva College, Hobart College, and William Smith College students who graduated between 1826 and 1930. Materials include newspaper clippings, articles, correspondence, information sheets, photographs, and some publications.
There are also a couple files on faculty and staff.

Campus unrest collection
Capital campaign records, 1981-2012
Hobart and William Smith Colleges has embarked on many capital campaigns throughout its history. The campaigns are typically designed to raise money for the endowment, for scholarships, and for specific building and renovation projects. This record group contains materials from the 1984, 1994, and 2006 capital campaigns.
Charles D. Vail postcard albums, 1904-1905
A collection of 8 postcard albums from Ireland, Scotland, England, Austria, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, India, Penang, Singapore, China, Japan, France, Switzerland, Honolulu, and various places in the United States. Collected by Charles D. Vail during his travels from 1904-1905.
Charles V. and Constance Dean Adair collection
This is a small collection of undated photographs of campus scenes donated by Charles V. Adair and his wife Constance Dean Adair. The photographs are probably from 1944 when Charles Adair was editor of the Echo of the Seneca yearbook. There are photographs of football and lacrosse games, religious life, fraternities, campus houses, theatre, and general student life activities.

This collection consists of the professional papers of David Bates Douglass. These papers encompass many of Douglass's professional activities, including professions as a soldier, engineer, professor, college president, and architect of cemeteries.
Demarest Memorial Library cornerstone materials
The materials in this collection were placed in the cornerstone of the Demarest Memorial Library in 1894. They were recovered in 1961 and donated to the archives.

Edward A. Knight papers, 1944-2005
This collection contains memorabilia from Edward A. Knight's time at Hobart College as a member of the Navy V-12 Unit, July 1944 - June 23, 1945. Files include a photograph album, slides, a copy of The Ridge from 1945, certificates, a commencement program, directory of students, and writings by Edward A. Knight. Also included in the album are photographs from the Hobart College Navy V-12 Fiftieth Anniversary in August, 1993.
