Scope and Contents This collection contains informational student files created by the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Alumni and Alumnae Relations office. The files in this collection cover Geneva College, Hobart College, and William Smith College students who graduated between 1826 and 1930. Abstract This collections contains the papers of George Maxwell Blackstock Hawley (1870-1941). Hawley entered Hobart College with the class of 1892, but did not graduate with that class. He received his L.L.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1895 and returned to Geneva, NY, where he practiced law. The collection contains notes, correspondence, articles, and other writings by Hawley and others, as well as a large collection of newspaper clippings.
