Abstract

This collection contains documents relating to the genesis and the early years of the Geneva Medical College and how it became a part of Hobart College (then called Geneva College). Materials include circulars and annual catalogues listing students and faculty of the Geneva Medical College along with documents that describe the hardships of the medical college, notably the difficult relationship between the Board of Trustees and the Medical Faculty.

Scope and Contents The collection contains Murray Bartlett's diary from his time in France in 1918 as a chaplain in the 18th Infantry of the U.S. Army. This is a small collection containing items from Wilson Hinsdale Faude's time at Hobart College including newspaper clippings, photographs, and programs from performances. Of particular interest may be the materials covering the resignation of President Holland and the President Selection Committee, which included students, that was formed to select the next President.
